I'm torn between a refurb that someone beat the piss out of, or an SCW.
I'm leaning SCW, it's the right date and the floorplate and buttplate look to be original matching, not the usual refurb matching.. Easily worth more than the $79.50 it's at right now.Originally posted by GoodEyeSniperMy neighbors think I'm a construction worker named Bruce.
Little do they know that's just my stripper outfit and name.Originally posted by ChopperXI am currently cleaning it and I noticed when I squeeze the snake this white paste like substance comes out. What the heck is this crap?Originally posted by Jeff LDon't D&T a virgin milsurp rifle. You'll burn in collector hell.Comment

I collect Military Arms and enjoy shooting in local matches. I also collect older Lever Actions, especially those chambered in odd/old cartridges. If you have a nice old Winchester or Marlin in 25-20, 32-40, 38-55, 40-60, 45-70, etc etc, please PM me and we can work out a deal.

Still worth double the current 106
SCWs frequently are as original from factory, all matching parts sans the bolt. Bolt here looks unstamped but all Izhevsk.
For me worth more than refurb
The bore cant be determined without cleaning. But this one is a farm fresh closet classic with all that nice old caked in dust
Collector piece not a shooterComment

Yeah, fell right into the "why not" range. $195 OTD and I'm going to see if they'll waive having to purchase through that FFL since I'm an 03/COE holder. Either way, I figure at best it's an SCW and at worst it's matching, non-refurbed, not import marked, and just missing the cleaning rod.Comment
