WWII GERMAN G33/40 RIFLE MARKINGS ?

    Hello gents,

    Question on G.33/40 markings,

If the receiver is marked WaA63 and also Eagle-over-63, would the front band be usually stamped Eagle/63, WaA63, CZ, or nothing ?

    This is on a 1941 DOT G.33/40

Insight from the gurus would be appreciated. Thanks

    Lou

If I ever had a G.33/40 - especially a 1941 - rare variant - I would post my pictures and ask questions on the K98K forum or the Gunboards German K98 site.

Gentlemen, is it possible to have a 1941 example of the G33/40 rifle without a Serial Number stamped on the left side of the receiver? Top reads "945" then "1941". Should I be "suspect" of the rifle's origin? ...just asking. thanks so very much! Ron

Not interested in surfing every forum out there, just my local neighborhood Calguns spot. But thanks for the links; mine is dated 1941 and serialed, but not 945 marked.

I can look on my 1942 Dot gun tomorrow. My file pic's don't show the markings on the front band.

I checked my rifle, no markings on the front band.

Interesting. Stupid me, I thought it should, and I went and purchased a circle-Z marked band.
I did not even pay attention that the pin hole is in the other side as for a K.98

So I guess I'm good to go there. Thanks

                      Is your bolt matching ?

The quoted link still has the wrong link, the original post works.
