Excel works great for that. Fast and Easy to manipulate as time goes on.

I can open it and type but excel changes the form all around and is not useable, can some one convert the form to word or something maybe I can use ?
          Thanks

Only the pdf version exists now, is that correct? I think it would be easier to recreate the sheet rather than try to salvage/extract an excel sheet from a pdf file. You could also try copying and pasting the contents of the pdf file to an open Excel sheet too if the security of the pdf file is open. I think Adobe Acrobat Pro can extract the spread sheet but you may lose formatting.

Failing that I can send you a copy of the Excel bound book that I created. You can modify to your liking. Let me know.

OK, what version of excell are you using? Because, IIRC, the latest .xls format is backwards compatable from Excel 97-03.

I bought one of these bound books at Brownells (https://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/st...RECORD%20BOOKS)
and they work great. Only a couple of bucks. You may also want to try this free software (http://somanyroads.org/gunsafe/) to keep track of your firearms, but hearing say your hard drive crashed perhaps not.
