Last night (Friday) I went to the same estate auction sale place where I got a Garand and an Arisaka two weeks ago. They had an Underwood M1 Carbine http://www.estatesalesunlimited.com/...016/11/600.jpg that sold for $560 with the buyer's premium. I didn't bid on it.
I was interested in only one firearm. a Finnish M39 http://www.estatesalesunlimited.com/...016/11/605.jpg
I won it for $308 with the buyer's premium. It came with a Finnish leather sling that sells for $20-30 online, so I figure I got the rifle for $288 and the sling for $20. It's similar to the Sako M39's that Classic Firearms is selling for $400.

It has a "transitional" postwar stock with triangular joints.

The bore was dirty but it cleaned up nicely and it is now very bright.
