Found a BRAND SPANKING NEW, never issued, 1955 No4 Mk2 Fazakerly built Enfield this week. I have to remove all the cosmoline, the barrel is full of it.

Tomorrow that will get it's first round, my 1918 No1 MkIII* & 303 SantaFe Mountaineer will also get a work out. As will 4 Mosins & a 1919 Swede Mauser

No 4 Mk 2's were built for Ireland, but were never sent (or most weren't sent? Not sure the exact story). In any case, a few years back you could get them still unopened in original packaging. Nowadays most have been taken out of original packaging but are basically still new. They look exactly like what he's got in the picture.

Yup, that's how they look from the factory. I got a NIW one a few years ago and it shoots like a dream. Powder residue in the bore tells me it was test-fired at the factory, so I just say I'm the first one to fire it in this century.
