    late chinese SKS

Were late Production chinese SKSs made for military export ? or were they by the late 80s making them to sell on the civilian market.
The SKS i have is so late production it only has a Ser #on the receiver and bolt.It is not a Norinco import. It says
imported by GLNIC LA.CA c5 it has been my shooter for about four years and has many range trips without any problems. It does have a chrome lined bore like all chinese SKSs.It has minimal machining and a pressed barrel.Still very well made.

I would be surprised if any modern armies were still buying SKS's post 1980's.

    I could be wrong though

I was thinking more along the lines of commie hot spots around the world. Probably very poor countries would be happy to get them. Bad guy foreign aid.

they would make them for anybody that wanted them, most of the later ones were assembled from spare parts, thats why they seem to have that cobbled together look with unnumbered parts, fresh wood with cheaper looking finish, some almost look like they just have a light coat of varnish with no color

I also noticed some of the late manufactured Chinese sks seem kind of loose?

the fitting doesnt seem as good as the older military issue rifles.

Im sure they would have sold / supplied them to some poor third world countries

places like Africa, the middle east, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, etc

The flood gate opened towards the late 80s - The Chinese and our country men saw an opportunity - The flood was strong but short lived -
