What should I buy first - an old C&R pistol cash and carry at a CA FFL? A C&R long gun from out of state shipped to my door?

I heard that Cabelas in Reno may do C&R business with me? Can I buy C&R handguns out of state in person and bring them back?

Yes, and I believe yes, but others would know better than me on that.

If you go to cabellas for C&Rs, make sure you know what you're looking at. Some things are grossly overpriced, other things are steals, you never know with them.
