I got a look at the website. A short list of "Good Condition" cracked stock rifles...

    I think I will take a pass...

I certainly respect his opinion and all I can say is the one item I received has zero rust or any other environmental damage. Perhaps it wasn't part of the Samco assets. I'll have the other two on the 20th.

Dennis also told me there stock is rough. Now there probably are some nice rifles mixed in but you are playing Russian roulette. I'd rather pay a little more and buy something I could see first.

Well at least Century is taking the time to grade them very good, good, fair and cracked stocks are noted.

Will be interesting to see what comes out as it sounds like they've got a lot more to release.

Does not really help to be quite honest, i've seen some "Good" condition CZ75s that look like they were used as speed bumps.

Calling Century didn't really help, I was willing to roll the dice if their K98's had intact swastikas and that is when they told me that they wouldn't take pics etc.

It's one thing to gamble on the Persian, but another to gamble on a Good condition K98 only to find out one of the sought after features of it has been defaced.

The Persian 98/29 is the Cadillac of Mausers. If you are going to buy one, buy a good one!

I bought one from Empire Arms and couldn't be happier.

That is a good idea - I ought to have Dennis find one for me.

I snagged one on Gunboards, local guy on our forum.

Dennis does a good job grading his stuff as well. For some reason I still prefer K98k's.

Well they certainly sold a lot of them today. Not much left in the Surplus firearms department.

Holy ****, yea they did....there was a steady 6+ pages for weeks.

Still a buttload of bayonets left, how are K98 bayos still $100+?
