M24/47 8mm Sporterized I Use for coyotes and deer. I have used many others.
Looking for a 30-06 C&R if anyone has a repairable cheap one for sale.

I usually see a sportized 1903 of sorts at local gun shows going for about $300 or so if you ever get curious, I almost pulled the trigger on one recently but decided against it since finding all the correct parts for "spec" was going to make it too pricey.

My grandpa and great grandpas took lots of deer and who knows what else with Springfields. I used to hunt with my dad's sporterized Mauser and it was quite nice, customized in '54 as a 16" youth rifle. I guess since my pre '64 M70 .264 is a rarity and old it's a C&R or close to it. That thing is a lightning bolt, a god touch. Aim, think, and whatever's on the other end is down before you even hear and feel the shot.
