I don't know a lick about Enfields but I'm a sucker for a purdy stock.
I wasn't looking for one but this piece was offered up from a great seller that I recently purchased another rifle from.
He was going to put it up on gunbroker but emailed me last night to see if I would be interested. I thought it over for about 5 seconds and it is on its way to me now.
Here's what I know so far.
Stamped matching numbers on the side of the receiver, the receiver wrist band, the bolt handle, the magazine, and the fore end on two places, one outside and one inside.
The maker's mark on the side of the receiver reads No5 MK1 ROF(F) 2/46 U8899. The bore is good with strong rifling.
Currently has Parker Hale 5C sight installed but original sight is included and from what I understand there are no permanent modifications made to attach the PH5C so I can put the original sight back on if I want to.
So now I need to get some ammo
