    Unissued No4 MK2 Enfields

A couple of years ago I grabbed these Enfields at an online auction. One still in the mummy wrap and the other out, but apparently unfired. They are consecutive serial numbers...UF A 15545 and 15546

    This was the auction pic

And this is what I found when the rifles arrived

I have several other Unissued No4 MK2's, including my first No4, which I bought at a LGS years ago. I was cleaning out the safe this afternoon and noticed something about my old No4...UF A 15573-- only 27 numbers off my consecutive pair.

Maybe I'm easily amazed...but I'm somewhat amazed that these rifles, made within minutes of each other in merry olde England, less than a year after I was born , all ended up in the same safe, even though they were purchased many years apart and all the way across country from each other.

    Beautiful rifles!

probably straight into storage as the end of production. L1A1 had been adopted previous year.

My buddy has one made at Fazerkaly(?)

Much like these, it seems never to have been issued.

Nice! Awesome you have the consecutive pair like that. I had a lot of fun unwrapping one a few years ago....

                Thanks, guys!

I'm not sure how many of these "UF" rifles were made, but many of them appear never to have been issued.

I remember that auction. I just made a big purchase when that popped up.

I was late to the Enfield game but they are the textbook definition of the classic milsurp. One turned into four very quickly. My compliments to the OP's rifles. Those look like they just rolled off the assembly line.

Beautiful rifles to say the least. It is pretty amazing that you have two with consecutive serial numbers and another that's just 27 numbers higher. Now I'm jealous of you.

Congratulations! These are so cool. I got one back in the mid 90s for $300. Cleaned off the Cosmoline and shot it. I still shoot it. It is one my favorite rifles. Gonna have to check the serial number now. Royal Irish Constabulary issue.

My ignore list is so big that sometimes, I will click on a thread and there's literally nothing there.
