    Bought a Black Powder Reolver

    1858 Uberti Army.

Bought it locally and fired it the same day. Had a blast!
Bought it from Fowlers, They have a nice store. First time there. Probably going to buy a 308 bolt action there soon.

Was able to hit the last rack at Raahagues Steel Target range a couple times.

Burnin' charcoal gets ya grinnin', don't it?

The first time I tried it many moons ago, a guy at the range saw me staring and let me try his Ruger Old Army. *snick*clack* PHOOOM! Huge cloud, and instant addiction!

Just a note though, the proper shooting stance for a BP replica is left-hand only, with a saber in your right hand.
I meant, it is my opinion that...

Oh boy, be careful with that - black powder is just as addictive as cosmoline!

Uberti makes a fine revolver, treat it well, keep it clean, and you'll be enjoying that shooting iron for years. Can't start out much better than that, really

I love the smell of burnt Goex in the morning. No synthetic for me.

I have an unfired Uberti first model dragoon and actively searching for an Uberti Walker. I also bought a Lyman Great Plains rifle and an extra sabot barrel. I have no powder, projectiles or all of the other items such as a powder measure, ball starter, etc. I saw someone at the range and thought that I need to get me some of that.

That was my first BP revolver, too - !

Brilliant fun and accurate as any-other wheel gun at 15 yards.

I bought mine in a taxidermist shop in Casper, Wyoming - on a film-shoot.
Shot it until the bluing wore off it and the joints got too lose to trust - !

Boy that sounds like me. I picked up a really nice repro 1861 Springfield Musket, and have yet to make any progress toward actually shooting it. I have the rifle and bayonet and a sling...no ammo or powder or any of those other gizmos or widgets it needs.

                    Really fine guns

Remingtons are accurate and fun to shoot.

You can attach center fire cylinders to them as well.

Mine is a Pietta, but I was surprised how accurate the 1858s are. They're fun to shoot.
