    My new pistol

So a while back i made a thread asking for C&R pistol suggestions, and got alot of really good suggestions, and learned about a few guns i didnt even know existed, and this was one of them. Since i first seen it i had to have one.
    Thanks Capybara for the suggestion!

I paid $400 for it, which i feel is a pretty fair price considering the condition, and that it came with two mags. So far ive shot about 150 rounds through it of steel, and brass. It has been 100% reliable, and pretty darn accurate. It is a little snappy, but im love, so i can look past that. Now the hard decision of what to get next

The Astra 600/43 in 9mm (AKA the pipe wrench)

    Thanks for looking.

That's a pretty cool looking pistol. I've never seen one before but it looks like it's nicely crafted and in good condition too.

What is the reasoning behind the knurled muzzle?

It has to do with the disassembly.

very nice, did you pick that up off gunboards?

Saw one in similar condition sell over there for a great price not too long ago and came with two mags as well

I just got one of those on a whim a couple of months ago. They are very well made. Yours in in much better condition than mine is as some idiot managed to remove all the finish on the one I got. But then I got mine for pretty cheap.

                  Mine was made in 1942.

Yes and be very carful taking it apart and keep your face/eyes out of the way!
Some say a used 50cal shell casing is the ideal tool to depress the interior ring while you rotate the knurled part. Also the magazine can be used to depress same.

Very nice score robodale! Yours is in much better condition than mine and mine only came with a single mag. Isn't the recoil surprising? For an all metal, full sized pistol in mere 9mm, it is very snappy. Beautifully made. I agree with aghauler, be careful when disassembling and you may find reassembly to be a bit of a challenge as well. I like mine, they have really interesting history. Hmm...WWII era Spanish, influenced heavily by the German's over-engineering. Love mine.

Nice one Capy, sold mine a year or so ago to a Calgunner, it had been gathering dust for years so thought someone else might like to have it.
