    C+R working in CA.

Got to work quite a few C+R's on this last project.
Did approx 2K blanks through the MP44 - the on the last day, the stock screws shredded - not bad for 70 years - stock will be fixed better than new.

Thought you guys might enjoy -

No names, no nada, signed a serious NDA.

Filmed in CA, in four weeks shooting we had two full inspections, one by Police one BLM (no joking matter.)
All firearms, including non-firing dummies, serial numbers, field stripped to action, and firearm/mag permit check - this is the most visits I've ever had on a single shoot.

Curious on the BLM? Why would they want to inspect?

The Movie Location manager pulls a permit from the City/jurisdiction/Permit office to shoot on or near BLM land, they are informed, the permit for filming states whether you are doing gunfire and special effects or not, how many crew, etc., - as to why they were interested you would have to ask them.
I will simply repeat it was no joking matter.

Oh, and thank you to a certain member here for the use of the MAT49 kit - we created the dummies in the above pictures from that kit - a Calguns win!

Makes sense. Thanks for the explanation. Sounds like a dream job for the C&R collectors.

We already have the only reasonable Gun Control we need, It's called the Second Amendment and it's the government it controls.

Great pictures. Every time I see BLM abbreviation I the news I think it's the same one you are talking about and I get confused for a minute, and yes those people are no joke. I see you are no longer in Toluca Lake?

How cool to be surrounded by all that C&R goodness, even if they only fire blanks. Very cool to see them used in TV and films.

Ha - That's not Dolph with the M96, that's Vladimir Kulich (Thirteenth Warrior, The Equalizer.)

And... The MAT49, well let's say it wouldn't have happened without your help, Saigon! Thank you!

                      Very cool pitfighter.
Where do the guns come from? Do movie studios already have an inventory to pull from or is a there a company that supplies them?
And if you don't mind me asking, what is your job on set?

I rent from ISS, The Hand-prop-room, or Mike Tristano (moviegunguy.com) and sometimes will use my own inventory, if the movie requires pre-1945 guns.

I have all necessary state and federal permits, but for this film I hired two additional licensed-armourers, as there was a substantial amount of brass being thrown.

PM me and I will give you my IMDB.com page -
