    1st Gen Colt SAA Values

I have a friend that wants to sell a couple of old Colts she has. Is there anyone in the SoCal area that can give an accurate appraisal? 1 is a SAA Texas Ranger commemorative in 38-40 and the other is a Bisley model in .38. Both appear to be from the early 1900's. The Texas Ranger appears to be in excellent condition and the Bisley is a bit rougher with some pitting. Any ideas here?

Condition ... AND ... provenance. For example, was it bought by the U.S. Army? If so, that's worth something. Being owned by someone famous is a little hard to prove.

You can get a Colt letter. I got one for mine and found out it was one of a dozen sold in New York City. How it made its way to Illinois I have no idea, but I doubt it was owned by Wyatt Earp.

      Best!

Yea, that doesn't sound like a "1st gen" to me.

Include any prefix or suffix letters. Commemoratives are from the later half of the twentieth century, unless someone tarted up an old one.
