Having used Frog Lube on a dozen of my rifles before they sat around, I'd say go with something else. The FL will become sticky and you'll find that bolts/ slides become hard to use (not a lot, but enough to be noticable). A problem if you don't shoot them a lot or there're months between shoots or cleanings

I commend you for saving that fine Swiss rifle. I believe there are a few sources online for replacing damaged keg handle pieces. Swiss GP11 is now available again so I recommend grabbing a case and getting to the range.
I am mot sure if K31 magazines will fit a 1896/11 but they are usually rather pricey. I have never even seen a 96/11 mag for sale by itself.Comment
