I recently picked up a Savage 1907 in .32. I got it for a decent price (under $200) because it has an issue. The pistol doesn't always cock when you pull the slide back and the previous owner stated that this would happen while shooting as well.
The big issue is that the this will essentially turn the pistol into an automatic pistol if it doesn't fully cock and there are extra rounds in the magazine. I have not shot it yet but I think I have isolated the issue. I think the the tail end of the cocking lever might be worn out.
Numrich has it in stock for $25 but they also have a complete breech plug assembly for $65. Should I buy the complete assembly or should I just get the cocking lever? Thanks
