    SKS auctions

Interesting note I've followed a website that lists multiple auction houses and auctions. The last few auctions where there were SKS's most were bid on and won by a single bidder, same bidder is also noted on multiple SKS auctions currently. Looks like he's trying to corner the mark on SKSs, also I don't think he paid over $275 for any of the last SKS's he won.

Thought we couldn't post links to active auctions but you can checkout the Proxibid website and search SKS.

I once posted an active link on a Forum (Spanish Handguns) thinking I was giving every one a heads up on an item, which I had absolutely nothing to do with. Ended up being raked over the coals for NOT adhering to forum rules, inferred I was an idiot, many condescending comments. Sorry but at the time I belonged to 60+ "forums" and couldn't keep all the rules straight.
Needless to say I don't bother with that forum any longer and their pompous condescending attitudes.

That one bidder snagged a few on the last auctions none more than 275 and most were 200-250 and nice SKS's not junkers, you know what they'll be resold for!

Looking on that auction site, there is a '49 Siminov SKS from Canada. Seller says it's not importable to the US... why not? Isn't it a C&R by our laws?

          Military not importable, fed law.

Yes C&R but not importable like all the Garands in the UPPA U S, er I mean Canada.

Yeah bummer, I think in the last set of auctions they sold a nice Russian SKS for $210? I've already deleted my "watched items" but that seems to stick out I know it wasn't over 250. Decided not to watch the Canadian Auctions though no point to it.

J&G sales had Chinese SKS for $250 last month with cracked stocks, but they sold out

Canada is a gold mine of rare Russian SKS rifles. Marstar imports, mostly. The Canadian collectors gloat over them but at least we dont have to pin them to 5 round capacity. AFAIK it is not possible to import them to the US.

I have a pretty rare extra Romanian leather dog collar sling. In true collector style, I have been looking for a decent Romanian SKS to pair with it. Lately Romanian SKS rifles for sale have not been seen often.

So I found a better than average Romy and followed the GB auction where it was listed. I placed what turned out to be the highest bid, $380 + shipping.

The Buy it now price on this rifle was $450 + shipping. I contacted the seller and asked if he would throw in the shipping for free if I paid the full buy it now price

Anyway, the seller never replied or accepted my offer. So I sat on my $380 bid, planning to go no higher than that. When the auction ended my bid was the
                            winner.

So it turned out that I paid much less for the same rifle than I earlier offered to the seller. Hahahaha

Well ya did good. Sometimes I don't understand why a buy it now price is higher
than a starting or reserve price. Now hopefully it shows up and is better than you expected. Once took me 2 months to get my Type 99 from a seller with only one reply to emails sent to him I wasn't very happy
