Bayonets have been discussed before.
They are a nice historical addition to your C+R rifle.
Another accessory is the fighting or utility knife from a certain era.
Two cheap and cheerful "examples" of collectables I ran across this week - that in my opinion are relevant to this page in their own way:
1. The Fairbairn Sykes Commando Dagger.
This was a Craigslist find, it is "mold-marked" 4, which places it pre-1945, it is a third pattern design with factory ground blade.
The most desirable being the hand ground blades of the first and second pattern.
Still a nice one for the glass cabinet in the office.
(The photo display is all post-1945, I don't have much English gear, sorry.)

2. This little curiosity is a 1937 first pattern Luftwaffe Flieger Kampfmesser.
Although issued to many branches of the luftwaffe, it is associated with the Fallschirmjager, paratroopers, so has some extra collectability.
The idea being a strung up para can cut his lines free with a blade that can be opened with one hand.
It goes into the glass cabinet too - with the other paratrooper items.
The blade on this one has been sharpened roughly, and although restorable will be left as is.
