Check out this CA compliant SKS complete with bayonet. Granted it's chinese but same difference.

If you don't have a C&R license you can still order this through an FFL like any other long gun correct?

Keep your bayonet on there, perfectly legal.

You don't have to remove the bayonet. I'm sure.

Yes, exactly like any other gun, and the cheap Chinese guns that are available right now are probably the best value for your money that is around.

You can "order" it. Not sure how easily it would be to acquire for them or if they would bother. They show up on consignments from time to time.

Agreed. I have two SKS rifles from JG Sales. Great service and great rifle.

Amazingly accurate with iron sights considering I did nothing but clean the cosmoline off.

years ago you had to remove the bayonet on a Chinese SKS to sell them in CA i think ?. The one i have was sold in the 90s without bayonet. I installed the proper one on my Chinese SKS.Now it is like every other Chinese SKS sold in CA.

unless the laws have changed, the later sks guns imported that were not c&r had to have the spike bayo removed for ca. Thats why they snubed many bayo lugs. If your in Ca and want to buy a chi-com with a spike bayo just have the gun shipped without the bayo attached to be safe..

They were removed to comply with Federal laws that changed in 1989.
Had nothing to do with CA laws.

Wrong. Only the grenade launcher on the Yugos is a no-no. Bayonets are fine.

I've seen a lot of Yugos in California with the grenade launcher intact. One even owned by a Department of Homeland Security Officer I was shooting with. He did not even know and when I casually mentioned it, he didn't care. That's the sad part of being a gun owner in this state. We are becoming a Banana Republic here and people are generally going to ignore more and more of the gun laws because they are so arcane, illogical and ever changing. When you have a society where the majority ignore the laws, you are generally ruled over by tyrants/Communists. Kommifornia has never been a more timely and appropriate name for this state.
