K98 marking question

Ok K98 guys I'm not familiar with this mark. Anyone able to educate me on what it is?

Chang kai Shek chinese mauser I believe. Used in the Chinese-Japanese war in the 1930's. Very cool

Yes, Chinese Chang Kai-Shek Mauser.

Cool and collectible piece. They are usually in rough shape when they pop up for sale. IIRC, they are chambered in an oddball caliber, not 8mm Mauser.

Yeah, this one is rough. All intact and numbers seem to match. Stock is unbroken. Pretty severe pitting there the stock hits metal and the bore ........well the hole goes all the way through is probably the nicest thing I could say.

They usually aren't in the greatest shape, yours seems typical in that regard But, there is still collectability there, especially if it's matching.
