    K31 from Samco

So I found this in the back of the safe today. Didn't exactly forget about it but with the recent Gander and Classic releases I've been meaning to get it out. It took a while to find some ammo for it and I've yet to get it to the range.

It was from the last Samco release before they went under.

The stock isn't chewed up too bad

Looks like maybe there was some sort of sticker or something on the stock at some point where the cartouche is.

I'm debating trying to clean it off or not and wondering what to use that wouldn't disturb the original finish. Any thoughts?

I'd just wipe it down and leave it alone. I'd personally not want to risk changing the stock color. Is there a troop tag?

yeah I did wipe it down and that is what I'm left with.

      No troop tag.

I remember I did get a sling with it, need to get that out too

I got a k-31 from them right before they went under too. My stock is just as good as yours, except I put an idiot scratch on the bluing. Laid my AK on top of it without knowing better after organizing the closet and safe, and then it slid off .

Thats a very nice example, not sanded and no crewing marks on the butt stock. Nice blueing and crisp finger grooves, you could easily sell it for $500+ granted it has a decent bore.

I would not touch it at all!

In a few years I can grantee it will be worth 1000, easy. The K31 is drying up and a nice example like that should be treated very well.
