    4 Classic M39s. How did I do?

For the longest time I would drool at the M39s the Burns website had to offer. I mistakenly never pulled the trigger, and then planned to order from Classic around September. I'm very relieved I waited while they sorted all of their junk out. I couldn't believe what was qualifying as a hand select. These rifles include two scrubbed tang dates, one 903r, and 95r. The 95r (1895) should qualify as an "antique" that doesn't require an FFL, correct? I asked for close to perfect bluing and tiger striped stocks, and to my surprise my request was granted. Three of the stocks are the 1956 or later variants, and the tiger stripe is wartime. No cracks anywhere. Here are two hand select VKTs and two hand select Sakos. Whatdaya think?

All four look WAY better than the "handselect" they sent me.

I'm just wondering why I paid to register an antique firearm.

Because the seller probably does not take the receivers out of their stocks to confirm the dates the receivers were made...

You did... better than I did, that's for sure! Nice rifles. It looks like a rabid dog chewed my stock.

Very nice. Much better than most did with Classic. FYI Burns is back selling and she has some beautiful antique M/39s listed.
