    FFL03 Question

    Hello All,

Is a C&R essentially useless without a COE? If I wanted to purchase a C&R listed rifle from another C&R would I still have to go through another FFL? Or is C&R to C&R for a listed item just as easy as having them ship it to me and then go through the C&R booking?

You can still purchase C&R guns while out of state and bring them back with an 03 without the COE. You would still have to self register.

Nope. Exchange FFL's, and it's Cash'n'carry. You will need to report the sale on line or using an Acquisition form. The seller needs to report a Disposition...

Nope. Buyer has to have a COE for transaction to be FTF in California.

The only thing an FFL03 alone is good for is buying out of state. In California, you have to have the COE to do anything.

^^^ WRONG. It is also good for dealer/discount pricing at many places. That alone is worth the cost of the lic.

Midway dropped the discount and brownells isn't much anymore. When I tried grafs, they weren't taking any more 03's.
