Does anyone here own an Hakim?

Needing some advice on which surplus 8mm ammo to use. I've heard some is a little too 'hot' for gas guns.

Turkish ammo to hot. Yugo 70's seem to be well liked. Greek and 50's yugo good, may require a second strike. Changing the hammer spring, supposed to help the sencond strike issue. I have a couple, but have not yet fired mine.

Wear glasses

Probably an unneeded warning, but the Hakim blows gasses off the top of your head. My hair kept rising and falling everytime I fired my Hakim.

Also, if you leave any oil in the action, you will get some splatter on your lenses.

Watchout for Hakim digits - worse than M1 thumb.

Mine loves the Yugo Surplus - I've never had a problem with it (other than its dirty and corrosive).. But hey, thats half the fun.. Or so they tell me..
