    Clint Eastwood's "Gran Torino"

So what're the odds Clint Eastwood's new movie "Gran Torino" will create a spike in demand for M1 Garands? Good to see the ol' warhorse getting some props!

I'm going to see it tonight. I'll be blaming any new gun purchases I make on the movie...

FWIW, Clint probably went through Army basic with the U.S. Rifle Cal. .30 M-1

Didn't it jam? Or maybe he just tripped over it. It was definitely shotgun time at that point in the movie. Was the pistol he pulled outside his pickup a Hi Power?

It sure looked like 45's could come me out of the tube of that highpower.

The 1911 comes in all types of finishes these days to meet your fancy.

Did not see the movie but a blued 1911 is not out of the question, just not original milspec.
