    FR8 magazine spring?

Hey guys, just purchased a Spanish fr8 mauser from Gun runners in duarte at the end of January. Took it out to the range to find out that I can't seem to cycle through an entire magazine without a serious jam. Only seems to happen after the second round, so I'm thinking it's a weak mag spring issue.. The bolt actually goes over the back end of the casing and jams half of the round back down into the magazine. Does anybody know if the spring from a Spanish m43 will just drop into the FR8? I want to give it a shot but the shortened follower makes me think that I'll need a shorter spring. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Numerichs lists the magazine spring compatible with the M43. They are sold out though

Brownells actually has a new production spring that is supposed to be plus 10% power. It runs about 30 bucks, so I've been holding off on purchasing because I'm not sure if it will work or not.

What was the asking price on your fr8? They seem to be a bit rare and prices swing

Prices seem to stick around the $450 to $500 mark. I paid $480 for this one.

I sold one a couple of months back for $450. The first party who was interested decommitted when he found a guy selling both a Fr-8 & Fr-7 for $600
            Best regards,
            Ray

Considering that sarco is/was selling fr7's for $180 I'd say that still keeps the fr8 in the $450 range.

There was one on Funbroker that went for $350ish in the past month or so ago. Had a broken front sling swivel.

You need it until you shoot it then all you need is to sell it!
