    Ithaca 1911A1

    Hey guys,

Finally found a USGI 1911 A1. Serial puts it at 1945. Maybe I will take a family photo later. Seems original to me.

Photo resolution isn't the best, but I am still getting used to my new phone.

    What ya'll think?

    Looks damn good
The serial falls in correct range for Ithacas, you did good. Pete

    Edit Note
The initials under the slide stop "FJA" are the same inspector for Remington Rand as well as Ithaca, that's
why it's important to ID the serial range for each---because a Remington slide could go on an Ithaca frame
and vice versa. The pistol from the OP is correct by serial number with the proper Ithaca slide.

      I'm Jealous!

I think you did real good. Congrats!
I'm no expert, but the basic parts look correct.
Maybe some more detailed pics later.

I couldn't find any info on the #4 marking? Very interesting.
                (Must do more research!)

The stocks look like the ones made by Keyes Fiber for Ithaca.

Yep it looks very nice and original. The "4" is an inspector mark. My 1943 Ithaca has a "5":

I had to wipe the drool off of my laptop screen, if that tells you anything? Nice score man!
