That's about the only way I can tell if your talking about a pistol or a rifle
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

OHA is Otto H. Armstrong, an inspector at Rock Island Arsenal. The stock should have RI stamped on the front tip.

That rifle might have its original barrel and stock, which would increase its value. It is also a "high number" RIA M1903 so it is considered safe to shoot. The other numbers on the stock are probably an inspector marking (inside) and a rack number (outside).
        Revolvers are not pistols

pistol nouna handgun whose chamber is integral with the barrel
Calling a revolver a "pistol" is like calling a magazine a "clip", calling a shotgun a rifle, or a calling a man a woman.

That's really unfortunate. The handguard has also been shortened.

Instead of replacing the stock, I would repair the stock because it is probably the original stock with cartouche. You can get a replacement forestock at http://www.gunpartscorp.com/ad/1088120.htm and have a stock repairman graft it onto the current stock.

                  You will also need:
                  Replacement handguard http://www.gunpartscorp.com/Products/524160.htm
                  Upper band http://www.gunpartscorp.com/Products/523710.htm
                  Upper band screw http://www.gunpartscorp.com/Products/522940A.htm
                  Stacking swivel http://www.gunpartscorp.com/Products/523230.htm
                  Stacking swivel screw http://www.gunpartscorp.com/Products/522200B.htm

Can't tell from your pictures but you might also need a front sling swivel.
