    M1 Carbine training aid.

So, yesterday I was on Facebook and an ad came up for an estate sale, and what do I see advertised? But an M1 carbine cut-away training aid. So I went there directly after work today to discover it sold nearly 15 min before I walked in. Was bummed til I discovered that the asking price was $1200, a bit rich for my blood.

So while poking around at the other military stuff the have, I find the black rubber/plastic bullets that are for that training aid. Should have bought them, but didn't really think to. So, if you're the lucky new owner of an M1 carbine training aid, you might want to go back and buy the bullets, think there was about 9 in a plastic bag.

I ended up buying a couple little things, m1 broken case extractor; cleaning kit; grenade launcher sight; en-blocks. That kinda thing.

Here's the picture of the advertised training aid. Most of their stuff was priced a touch high, some extremely.

Was everything fixed price, no haggling? I wonder if the inheritors gave any instructions to the company handling the sale to set the prices high.

I've gone to a couple estate auctions, but bidding quickly went higher than I was willing to pay, ended up walking away empty handed from both of them.
I meant, it is my opinion that...

It wasn't at a home, building full of things that they likely bought out from homes. Little haggling....

I frequent estate sales quite often, never found anything that cool. Usually on the last day of the estate sale everything is half off.

I got thr notice for that sale as well. Estate sales generally over price anything worth having and deals are few and far between unless they dont know what they got. Glsd i didnt make the drive out there for that.

Someone should let them know about selling the high capacity magazines as well as the cloth and linked belts...

I almost purchased that cloth belt, but I think it was like $75+. There were two carbine mags. One 10rnd marked made in us, and an unmarked 5rnd, but they were $25 and $20...

                  Was the 1919A4 crate empty?

The canvas belts are hi-capacity feeding devices - theoretically, as idiotic as it is.

The RG36 cleaning kit might be nice for a K98 collector.

I didn't open it. Was to high for me to pull down without having asked for help, and I'm 6'6".

Some amazing things there. Fortunately it is nowhere near me. Saves me much money.
