    buying from cmp

    to order from cmp i have to

    1 have c&r (check)
    2 join an affiliated club?
    3 have prior marksmanship experience (check)
    4 be legally able to purchase a firearm (check)

    so basically if understand the requirements i need to join an affiliated club and then i an eligible

    CMP has the list of affiliated clubs on their site. Also, you can just join CRPA, it counts as an affiliated club, unless you're averse to joining it.

    C&R isn't a requirement, it counts for the prior marksmanship experience, I believe (so you don't have to send them the form signed by the rangemaster or your competition score).

    Now you just need to get all your documents, have them notarized, and send those to them with the order form, and you're good for 3 years.

      You also have to be a U.S. citizen.

      For the club membership requirement you can join Cabot Gun Club. It is more expensive than the Garand Collectors Association, but you get to shoot at Chabot for half price.
