I need metric screws that are 6mmx.75 in several different lengths ,they also need to be hardened. Anybody know of a source ? I have tried my brownells catalog and couldnt find any .

That's one heck of a fine pitch on a M6 screw. What does it go to?

          stock securing screws?

Check ACE Hardware, if you're lucky they may come in the right head

Don't think you'll find M6x 0.75 in any form other than set screw or threaded stock from McMaster. Set screws are hardened, threaded stock is not.

Forget your neighborhood hardware store, too; they'll only have M6x1 at the finest.

You need to hunt up a specialty metric fastener vendor,
or else find the item from a gunsmithing vendor such as Brownells.

If your passing through Riverside there is a specialty fastener company located in the industrial complex at 9880 Indiana Ave. cross street is Harrison. It's near the Tyler Mall. They have saved my butt a few times ordering what was needed if they didn't have it in stock.

Also McFadden Dale in Santa Ana or Anaheim. I'm always surprised what they have in stock. You can call, but their web page is useless.
