Who has used Gunbroker to sell Guns?

Were your results good? Did you get more or less money then you expected? I have browsed gb several times and I find some things to be on the pricey side, and other things pretty fair to bargain level.
Thinking about selling one of my garands. I honestly don't want to but it will fund another project I have going. I have in the past sold a couple guns here but gb seems to get a higher premium on garands. Any thoughts?

Sold a few on GB during the great AR panic after SH and Aurora. I was a bit shocked at what they went for.

Make sure you factor in shipping and if the ffl will accept gun from non-ffl.

Also check selling fees calguns has the best by far!

Have used them with no problems but I would rather sell for a little less $ to people in California

my one and only time using it was not good.

I bid on a KAK Shockwave brace / tube combo for my AR pistol build. it was fairly cheap [i thought]

i instantly received an email stating that i had won. yaaay me!!

but in the fine print it also states that I must pay via check [who mails checks to random people in 2015?] or pay a credit card convenience fee.

        which raised the price considerably.

backed out of the deal and just used Amazon.
        came out ahead.

edit: totally didn't see the part about using it to sell.

I used it one time to sell a weapon. However, I decided to sell locally, which I did not state in my ad. So when I ended the auction, I received a F------------ feedback, bahahahaaaa

ive used it many times..helped some friends sell some of their guns..pretty easy to use..never got burned..helps if you make sure you check the ratings of people and stay away from the NR users...or at least if you use them get USPS money orders.

I have done it a few times. I like how a couple of you backed out of your bids. Read the conditions before bidding. I actually prefer it to selling on CGN. Don't have to deal with a PPT meet and a surly FFL scowling at me and making up rules as they go.

Also you can get the auction fever factor in your favor if you're lucky and if you have a desirable item.

Have bought and sold on GB numerous times without issue.

Once sold a Garand barreled receiver (1941 date) for over $950! Sometimes what things sell for is surprising.

How did you receive any feedback at all if you ended the auction early? The only person who can leave you feedback is the actual buyer. If you kept the auction up long enough for a bidder to win it, and you did not complete the transaction with that person, you deserved an F.

Sellers end auctions without selling the item all the time, especially if the item is cross posted elsewhere. However once a qualifying bid is posted, you are obligated to complete that deal. Gunbroker does not even allow people to contact each other directly unless it is during an active auction. So please tell me how that worked with your F feedback.

Have sold a bunch on GB. It's amazing what prices you get compared to the CG marketplace. Much higher prices and, like I Swan said, I find it more convienent than the PPT mambo.

For long guns, I box, weigh, and label at the house, then drop off at the UPS hub on the way home from work. For handguns, my local FFL charges ~$45 all-in to box and ship to another FFL. The buyers pick up the shipping costs.

Also, in my terms of sale, I ask that NR bidders contact me prior to bidding. When they do, I just explain that their bid is a contract to buy and that appropriate feedback will be left for non-payment. I've never had that problem, though (knock on wood!).

All that being said, I'll try to keep things in CA if possible, but if it doesn't move on the CG marketplace, I'll post on GB and be done with it.
You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.

Got stiffed once. Super suck. But most transactions are very smooth and I've gotten what I wanted at the very minimum, and much better than that a few times.

Fantastic - love it - 72 positive transactions - according to my feedback

Do your research, play by the rules and have fun.

I buy more than I sell - I take pride in careful packing and only charge actual shipping - I send along an email pic of the receipt for shipping.

Be honest in your descriptions and photograph the item's flaws in great detail - don't try to hide any issues - I also make sure to type all sales final, ask questions, look at pictures -

Stops the whiny cry babies -

You've got a lot larger market on GB. Getting a box and packaging waiting in line to ship and time checking the FFL is valid will take you about the same time as a PPT. Check the laws where you're sending it. Not really your problem but would hate to get something shipped back and lose some $ and time.
