I took mine out to the range today after finally getting it cleaned up and ready. It ran like a champ! I was shooting that Herters steel case from Cabelas. The 'genuine' stripper clips I got off ebay worked great.
I only shot 30 rounds off a sandbag, enough to know it was consistently printing about 4" right at 50 yards. The grouping wasn't anything to write home about but I was having a hard time picking up the bullseye due to a nasty glare off the target so I can't comment on the group yet. Also the front sight post seems to be a little fat for the job.
Anyhow I brought it home and using the sight adjustment calculator at Brownells, I used a bench vise and some sockets to drift the front sight right about .038". Before I started I could see it was offset more to the left than right and confirmed with my calipers. It still isn't centered now but I am going to trust the sight calculator.
I'll try and get it back out there soon to see how close I am. So far I am very happy with the rifle - it looks great and runs like it should
