Pulled out the Mauser HSc to clean and lube and again I was reminded how amazing these little guns were. Field stripping is literally the push of a button. It shoots just like new and is pretty accurate for small pistol with fixed sights.
According to markings and S/N it came from the batch of the first 3,000 the German Army ordered in 1941. It is in excellent condition and I doubt it saw much use outside of the holster because aside from a few small scuff marks there is no wear.
Holster is correct and with the very little wear it has I am guessing it is original to the gun. There is some writing inside that I don't know if it was by the original owner or done later. Anyone have any guess as to what it says? I don't know what the backwards looking S means.
[EDIT] I just found a document with German WWII military abbreviations on the net. I think it means Military Field Hospital in Faller, Germany].
