VKT M39 proof or marking question

I came across this on the underside of my 1942 VKT M39. As you can see its under the barrel and is a capitol T in a upright triangle. I know that Tikka's mark is a T in a upside down Triangle inside of a circle and briefly it was just in a triangle but does anyone have an idea what this one is all about? I would greatly appreciate any assistance.

It's probably just an inspection stamp. Tikka's stamp is larger and much more defined, plus the one without the circle is the older stamp which was changed long before 1942:

On surplusrifle someone mentioned that it is a Tula mark and had a book with the exact mark. If that's true does that mean that mine was cut down or something? The finish on this barrel is perfect all the way untill it pokes out the handguard. Its perfectly smooth with a dark brown color with maybe a hint of orange.

I knew I guy who had an unknown 'T' stamped on his MN rifle. The bullets fired from that piece just bounced-off the paper targets past 100 yards.
