1944 M1 Carbine

Thought I would share my M1 with you guy's. Picked it up about three months back with original paperwork from the buyer who purchased it in 1963. Purchase price was $17.50 plus $2.50 tax! Comments are welcome.

Receiver & barrel dates 8/44.
Front sight N
barrel band //
Milled rear sight PI
Trigger housing Inland
Stock & Handguard 01 plus Inland cannon cartouch.
Mag catch EI

Looks pretty decent. Who is the Manufacturer?

EDIT: If I am seeing the serial number right. The first two digits are in the 5.4 million range. That would make it a late manufactured Inland.

Inland. dates 8/44 on both barrel an housing as stated above. Sorry about all the links to click on , but don't know how to use photobucket!!

It's possible that everything is original except the safety, and possibly the magazine catch. If the magazine catch is marked HI or EI on the face that goes against the magazine it is probably original.

I didn't notice the stamp there, it's EI!
