I would like to have 1 Tula SKS for each year made:

    1949 - Need it
    1950 - Got it
    1951 - Need it
    1952 - Got it
    1953 - Got it
    1954 - Got it
    1955 - Need it
    1956-57 Transitional - Got it

Oh, and an Izhevsk of course. I don't even entertain the idea of trying to buy any of the real unicorns....

Yes Sir, good idea. I think slop / play could cause a split down the tang or otherwise damage the stock too. Surprisingly, this stock fits the receiver very snugly. Most of the fitting problems I have seen were in replacing beat / cracked Sino-Soviet early Chicom stocks with modern replacement stocks. The cross bar never wants to line up with the notch in the stock without fitting.
