    Need help for Enfield evaluation

OK, guys...I know nothing about Enfields. The one pictured above is owned by a good co-worker. He will sell, but I don't want to screw him on price. Can you give me a range of prices? He got it at Big 5 a few years ago. It comes with the bayonet and some ammo. Yes, I will also check Gunbroker. It is a No.4 Mk2. Apparently the bore is in good shape, and you can see the stock is in good shape. Thanks in advance.

Need the info off the butt stock socket...should be a date, maybe serial if that isn't on the left side of the receiver, or other markings. Love that pretty blonde wood.

As an Enfield owner, I know I should be saying $350. But, if the rifle is as clean as it looks. I would say easily $450-5, with the way prices are going. I think an honest offer though should would be $400. haggle from there.

The number on right side receiver is UF55XXXX. I will get butt stock/rack number from owner.

Looks like a late Mk 2. Looks like very nice condition too.

Dude, your pics are terrible. My 2+ year old Galaxy S3 takes way better pics. Sorry had to point that out.

The UF55 I unwrapped personally out of its mummy wrap has pretty much identical wood.

Yeah...the pictures do suck....the owner took them with his phone, and then I had to manipulate them to get them to attach...

but I appreciate your comments. I GOOGLED a bit, and it appears to be a late Mk2, like you said.

My Mk 2 wood looks identical. I would like to see better pics of the metal......looks parkerized, should be BBQ paint.

If that is an unfired or barely fired UF 55 Enfield, I think it is worth at least $500...perhaps more.

If you want to offer less, that is up to you. But it would sell for $500 or likely more on GB.
...a fool and his money were lucky to get together in the first place...

That Mk2 looks to be in excellent condition. I would say that's easily a $500 rifle, maybe a bit more if it's all numbers matching. If it is, don't think about it, just make him an offer and have a stack of $20 bills in your hand when you do. You'll be getting a practically new C&R rifle, what's not to love?

The UF55 was the end of the Mk2 run and it was manufactured by Fazakerley. The stock is beech wood and should be numbered to the rifle in the barrel channel.

UF55 are pretty much the last batch of Enfields made in the UK. Mid-50s production dates.

Prices can fetch around $500-600. A war time piece it is not, but should be a great shooter.

I will check to make sure the numbers match. I will try to see if it is "bubba'd" with any BBQ paint. I realize it is post WWII...I will make the owner an offer.

                              Thanks for the info, gentlemen.
