      Barrel dates can be from zero to three months earlier than the manufacture date of the receiver so I see nothing wrong with that rifle at all. In fact that is one of the nicest A3's I have seen in a long time.

      Different parts were finished using different processes, so things like the green of the receiver vs the bluing on other small parts is correct. If you see one that all the parts have the same finish, it is definitely a rebuild. The stock is especially nice too. The dark hue is indicative of the aging of the original linseed oil finish.

              Am I seeing correctly, is that M1917 chrome or nickel plated on some parts?
