    1949 C No.4 Mk1* Long Branch Enfield Value?

The rifle is in great shape however the numbers do not match. Also the original rear sight has been replaced with an S&K rail.

    Any ballpark value estimates?

Non matching is worth less, I'd say $250-$300 if it's in excellent condition. If the rear sight replacement is a permanent mod, then it's another $100 off, if not then $50 off. Unless you just want a shooter, I would pass on it.

        Thanks Gents.

A ballpark is all I needed. Its not mine nor am I interested in buying. Simply trying to help a friend understand what he has.

        Thanks again.
