    303 British Ammo

Saw this at SGammo and thought I would pass it along to those looking for some Enfield food. I've not tried it but the price is right and it's non corrosive.

Well that's quite interesting. Better late then never i suppose

Wonder what the bullet profile is. Too bad its magnetic

And if you are shooting some copper washed 7.62x54 at the same time, better keep those well separated

It is probably the same bullet they use for their Wolf or WPA 54R.

Not as easy. Berdan primers are difficult/timestaking to remove compared to boxer primers. Plus, the specific size berdan primers can be difficult to locate -- there are a number of different sizes. They are not as standardized as boxer primers which typically are just large rifle vs small rifle primers for the basic calibers.

Quick look at some of the different berdan primers: http://www.dave-cushman.net/shot/ber...imensions.html

Is it okay to shoot bimetal in an Enfield? Just Curious.
Everyone on Calguns keeps talking about TDS. I never knew we had so many fish keepers!

The TDS on my 10gallon tanks 110ppm
The TDS on my 29 gallon tank is 150ppm (due to substrate)

Best way to reload Berdan primed brass is Don't. It isn't worth the time involved.

Agreed. Reloading Berdan primed ammo is a task for those who are retired and have time to burn. Not worth the time investment for most.

I'd guess this ammo is easier on the rifle than the old cordite loaded surplus.

Some UK made .303 was bimetal. Not all that uncommon back then. I still have some GB50 .303 around that is bimetal jacketed.

The bullet has a copper jacket so it will be fine to use.

If the bullet profile is similar to the MkVII or has flat base it should be decent ammo. I'm interested in hearing a range report if anyone picks some up.

Not a bad price for new production ammo.

It's good ammo but magnetic. At least SG ammo clarified that.

Those bullets dont have a copper jacket. They have a copper plating that is somewhere

around .005" in thickness over a mild steel jacket.
