Mojo Sight?

Thinking about getting one of these for my beat-up but nice bore condition Mosin Nagant M44:

Any opinions/experience from anyone here with the Mojo sights?

If so, did you get both front and rear, or rear only, and what were the plusses/minuses?

Well, anyways, I did find someone's review here:

So I think I'm going to get it eventually, probably both front and rear, and then gradually install both, rear first.

Just curious if anyone else had good experiences with this, it's gotta be better than the default awful open sights on the Mosin, and I love aperture sights.

the rear is great forget about the front.

i have them on an m39 and 2 sks rifles. for me they cut groups in half.

I have the 91/30 version, but rear sight only. It was a pain in the *** after removing the original rear sight to install, but lucky for me, I have a brother who helped hold the sucker down while I tapped the pin in. I only been out to the range once since installation, but turning an allen wrench to adjust elevation is 1000 times better, safer, and more accurate than banging the front sight for adjustment. Even if it costs half of the 91/30, it's a purchase I haven't regretted yet!

Remember the acronym FORS: Front sight Opposite direction, Rear sight Same direction

The guy that makes them hangs around on The Parallax View, a milsurp board. The are good sights from what I have heard, and they don't permanantly alter your gun. He evidently came up with them for his K-31 swiss rifle.

I installed them on my K-31, and did a three-shot bipod-supported group, all three made a nice cloverleaf.

I would go for both and front and back. The reason is that the front post is much harder to optically line up. If you are using this for the range, then the dual post is the best option. However, you should note that this makes it much harder to "scan" for targets if you are used to having a more open sight picture.

I put a Mojo rear on my M48A Mauser a few years back, and it's a huge improvement over the standard sight. It took a little filing to get it to fit, but wasn't a big deal.
