    BOF 961 - Make/Model question

First time filling one of these out and I'm not too sure what to put down for Make/Model for guns like the Finnish M39 and Swiss K31.

For the Finn M39s, do I put "VKT" or "Sako" or "B" Barrel for makes?

I'm not even sure where to begin with the K31s either.

On my bound book I usually just put the importer's name. Would that suffice on the BOF 961 too?

    Any help would be appreciated.

I just filled out a BOF961 today for M39s and used "Sako" and "Valmet (VKT)" for make, "M39" for Model. I'm sure that's sufficient. The people logging them may goof it up anyway. I received a reply once for a Yugo Mauser 8mm that said something like "thanks for reporting your handgun".

As for the K31, I have no idea. I have wondered who the maker is myself. I read somewhere it was the company now known as SIG, but that just another forum so who knows. Someone here will have an answer.
Quick Google search shows K31 manufacturer was Waffenfabrik Bern, which will likely not be in the DOJ system.

Thanks for the K31 info. I guess I can put Waffenfabrik Bern for the K31.

I'm not too sure what to put for a "B" barrel Finn M39 still. Supposedly it stands for Belgium, but that's not really a manufacturer's name.

        I believe the K31 is a Schmidt-Rubin

In my experience of submitting a lot of these forms, they aren't too nitpicky about sub-variants. Finnish M39 Mosin Nagant should be entirely adequate.

I just put Swiss and then K31 and it worked fine.
