    C&R OVERLOAD

I still cant believe all the gems i saw today. A buddy told me about a friend that had some c&rs for sale . So today we go take a look. Ive been collecting for many years but i was amazed. The first thing he showed me were some Finns. A 1940 sky in unissued condition. Then a '41sky. Then a'42 sky. Beautiful rifles. Then onto the Swiss. One after another passed through my hands. All appeared unissued. Then onto the Mausers. I only had time to look at a few flawless bringbacks with nazi markings. On the way out he popped open another safe stuffed with
Finns , Russians and a bunch of Mausers. He said this was his 'B' stuff. He promised to show us the really nice stuff on the next visit. I have a lot of research to do . Its going to be hard to decide which to make offers on!! I want them all !!! TBC

He's not knocking you for not taking pics. He's knocking you for posting a thread about it, and not taking pics.

Sounds like some nice stuff, but you must have been dazed and confused on the dates... there's no 41 SkY

Next time ask him "hey do you mind if I take a few pics? My buddies will never believe this".

I collect Military Arms and enjoy shooting in local matches. I also collect older Lever Actions, especially those chambered in odd/old cartridges. If you have a nice old Winchester or Marlin in 25-20, 32-40, 38-55, 40-60, 45-70, etc etc, please PM me and we can work out a deal.

I've been in that situation and that's what I did. A friend's friend died, and my friend was selling on behalf of the widow since she didn't know what anything was. Amazing stuff. I photographed anything of interest including markings, ran home, did some quick research, called him that night with some bids. A lot of it I couldn't afford but I picked up a couple of cool things at a reasonable price.
