    WW1 tactical trench mauser

Night sights, periscope, remote trigger, 20 round magazine... yet not quite a bubba job.

The version with the remote bolt operation... if I had such a rifle I'd take it to the local ranges just to get funny looks kneeling behind the bench with it.

    Probably easy enough to build

    Pretty cool piece of history!

Gotta love the ingenuity that appeared during the great war! It was truely the industrial revolution of modern warfare. Just about anything and everything was tried at least once, and sometimes twice. Many ideas never amounted to much that was productive, and some even had catastrohic consequences. Other ideas became the ground work for systems that are still in use, in some related form, today.

      Great piece of history there.
