    Cosmolene in Gun Case foam

So I took one of my newer Mausers out to the range a week or so ago and it decided to sweat cosmolene all over the egg crate foam of my nicest hard case. It got pretty saturated in there. So ticked, now it gets all over everything I put in that case. Anybody got a method for removing the storage grease from the foam?

Paper towels and a blow dryer? Heat gun would melt the foam.

      open the case

      Set down a disposable towel
lie open case, foam side down

      bake in the sun...
melted cosmoline will drip down into towel

      or get new foam....

Once you get the majority of the grease out, how about washing it with a water based degreaser--Simple Green, dish soap, etc.
