So what's the negative aspects of a 03 License?

Do you have to deal with DOJ knocking on your door weekly?

Give me the skinny. I'd like to know.

You are now federally registered as an owner and collector of firearms.

You have to keep an acurate record of all buys and sells.
You may not sell too many.
You may be checked out with a days notice.
You have other Regs. that fall into play as a C&R holder.

In some ways you get to worry if you get an audit like the IRS, you may have not broken the law that you know of but you sweat it out anyway.

The only two big up sides are,
            Guns to your front door.
            No DROS costs.

All C&R guns, that is. If the gun isn't C&R eligible, you must buy it through an 01 like everyone else, and you don't log that in your bound book.

                Absolutely no more discretionary income

Very few collectors are audited yearly, let alone quarterly. You are able to have the meeting at the atf office, not at your licensed premesis, if you feel like it.

Discounts at Brownells & Midway & a few others are worth the dues.

The only negative I have experienced is spending too much.

Got some great guns though. Have had my license about 4 years now. Never been audited. Not that I fear it, just hasn't happened yet. Nice having the guns shipped directly to me.

                    Yep,
                    The only downside for me.

Deciding WHAT to buy for me. Garand or Finn 39 is on my
                      agenda at the moment
I've had it a for almost a year now & I don't really see any downside (so far).

I do not see that as being negative in the least.
