    Classes

I have been looking for the NRA muzzle-loading classes for months but none were listed on their site. Plus I was told that they are reorganizing the classes.
Does anyone know of a nra trainer who teaches all three muzzle-loading discipline and have the arms for the students to learn? I am willing to fly to any near by states (PST or MST).

The one or two certified persons I know in the Bay area stated lack of interest so it is unlikely they will ever teach the class.

I figure it will be wiser to learn FIRST before you go to an auction and get a flintlock without knowing how or even if it will operate.

Powder, patch, ball. All you need to know

But on a serious note, see if there are any Rendezvous or black powder clubs around your area. One of the main directives of those clubs is to educate people on the use of black powder (muzzle-loaded) firearms.

There are a few guys on here that shoot BP (mostly in So Cal) but they can probably give you some info on where to go. The BP clubs would be your best bet or maybe find a reenactment group for revolutionary or civil war periods. Heck even the renaissance groups have BP rifles and pistols (matchlock and wheellock) but the principle is the same.

I've been shooting bp and ml's for over 40 years. What exactly is it that you want help with?
