    US Customs declaration

I bought a bayonet from England, no such restrictions. I would believe that if they are in the scabbards they are not considered "sharp" objects.

I know you can do it....people on various forums buy bayonets from Europe all the time. Maybe try a different post office, and write "camping tools" on the customs form. It's not a "lie"...just a different title for a knife.

I have never had to pay fees once they arrive here. I have bought quite a bit of Russian gear (scope caps, SVT magazine, lanyards, holsters etc) from Ukraine.

DHL or FedEx or alternate shipper may help.

Post Office may not be flexible.

          definitely declare as gift, yes.

fully support the camping tools idea. i've used that one myself. i called a swiss cyclist's bayonet a "tent spike", because, well, it basically is one.

Keep the value low (maybe $25-$50 dollars) to avoid any customs fees and be sure it is marked as a gift. I sent a forend back to the UK and declared the actual value and unknowingly caused the chap to have to pay duty and customs fees. Lesson learned...

I've purchased a few finn bayos from Finland over the years. I have no idea what they did on their end, but it is definitely possible. Good luck

I collect Military Arms and enjoy shooting in local matches. I also collect older Lever Actions, especially those chambered in odd/old cartridges. If you have a nice old Winchester or Marlin in 25-20, 32-40, 38-55, 40-60, 45-70, etc etc, please PM me and we can work out a deal.
